• The content has not been reviewed by a medical professional. Seizure first aid on the site follows the CDC’s First Aid for Seizures guidance, and the Stay. Safe. Side. steps come from the Epilepsy Foundation’s seizure first aid campaign.
• If someone has a seizure that meets any of the emergency signs on the Learn page, or you are unsure, call 911.
• Always follow the person’s own seizure action plan and their doctor’s instructions over anything on this site.
• Never start, stop, or change medication, including adding herbs or supplements, without talking to your doctor. Some herbs interact with seizure medications.
