Epilepsy Dove

We are the people
epilepsy tried to
quiet.

Epilepsy Dove began with La’Shera’s own years of living with seizures that most people around her never saw. It exists so the next person, and the people who love them, do not have to start from nothing.

Our Mission

Awareness that reaches people before the next seizure does.

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions in the world and one of the least understood. That gap is where the fear lives. We work to close it.

We do three things, and we do them relentlessly. We teach people what a seizure actually looks like and what to do in the moment. We connect families to resources they did not know existed. And we tell the truth about living with epilepsy, loudly, until the stigma has nowhere left to hide.

Every first aid card someone prints and tapes inside a classroom, every person who learns what a seizure can look like, every story someone finally feels safe enough to share, that is the work. It is quiet and it is cumulative, and it changes outcomes.

“Your circumstances do not define your destiny. Your struggles do not determine your worth.”

La’Shera F. Randolph, A Smile That Hid Pain

What We Stand For

Four commitments we do not bend on.

Dignity first

Nobody here is a case study. We lead with the person, never the diagnosis, in every word we publish.

Accuracy always

The first aid on this site follows CDC guidance. If something is not certain, we say so and point you to someone who is.

Nobody alone

Isolation is the second diagnosis. This site points you to the people and places that can help, day or night.

Loud on stigma

Silence is what keeps myths alive. We name them, correct them, and keep the conversation in the open.

Stories of Hope

Every story here is a real one.

The Silent Battle Behind My Smile, My Mind, and My Strength

This is more than a story about seizures. It is a story about losing yourself, questioning everything you once believed, and finding the courage to listen to the voice within.

Stigma ends where people speak up.
